About Monty
Hi, I’m Monty
I’m a 17-year-old tutor who’s passionate about helping younger students feel more confident in school, especially in reading, writing, and spelling. I understand how frustrating it can feel when something doesn’t make sense right away, so I focus on being patient, supportive, and clear in every lesson.
I take a friendly and encouraging approach to teaching. My goal is to create a comfortable space where students don’t feel pressure or embarrassment when they make mistakes—they feel supported and motivated to try again. I believe learning works best when students feel relaxed and confident.
I’m organized, consistent, and committed to helping each student improve at their own pace. I pay attention to what each child struggles with and adjust my teaching style so they can actually understand and retain what they’re learning.
I specialize in elementary English skills, including reading comprehension, spelling, grammar basics, sentence building, and writing short paragraphs. I work best with students in K–5 who need extra support, homework help, or confidence building in English.
My focus is always on helping students not just get the right answers, but understand the material and feel proud of their progress.

Hi, I’m Monty
I’m an outgoing 17-year-old tutor who helps elementary school students improve their reading, writing, and spelling in a way that actually makes learning feel less stressful and more doable.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and step-by-step. I focus on breaking things down so kids don’t feel overwhelmed, and I use repetition, guided practice, and simple explanations that match how they learn best. I also like to make lessons interactive, so students stay engaged instead of just feeling like they’re doing worksheets the whole time.
A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up (like reading a short passage or reviewing spelling words), then we focus on the main skill for the day—whether that’s reading comprehension, spelling patterns, or writing sentences and paragraphs. We finish by practicing together and reviewing what they learned so it actually sticks.
What sets me apart is that I bring a more relatable, Gen Z style of teaching—I’m encouraging, easy to talk to, and I help students build confidence instead of feeling judged when they make mistakes. I make sure they understand *why* something works, not just memorize it.
These lessons are for elementary students (K–5) who need extra support in reading, writing, spelling, homework help, or just building stronger English skills and confidence in school.
