About Nazreen
I have experience of teaching both AS and A2 Psychology within the 16-19 age range. I have taught both AQA and Edexcel specifications. I am currently leading a large Psychology department at a Sixth Form College. I also have extensive experience of working as a private tutor with students on a one-to-one basis in which students have achieved outstanding results and progressed onto their chosen courses.
I am a confident and experienced Psychology lead teacher with a proven track record of delivering a successful A-level Psychology course. I am a passionate teacher and enthusiastic about my profession and subject discipline. I am committed to raising the standard of every student. I am conscientious, dedicated and well-organised and this is reflected in all areas of my teaching, planning and assessment. My main focus has been to provide high-quality teaching to students and this has been evident in my lesson observations in which I have consistently been graded as outstanding. My tutoring approach involves using a range of teaching and learning techniques to meet the needs of individual students.

I have 20 years' experience working as the Course Lead in A-level Psychology specialising in Edexcel and AQA Psychology. I am also an examiner for A-level Psychology. This involves me marking exam papers, understanding and applying assessment criteria and writing examiner reports. This has given me invaluable experience on how exam papers are marked and assessed. I am able to give students expert feedback on how to improve their exam technique and understand the assessment criteria. This has enhanced my understanding of both AQA and Edexcel specifications as well as keeping up-to-date on my subject knowledge. I have gained valuable insights into how assessment decisions are made.
My experience and knowledge of Psychology enable me to make the subject very accessible and meet the needs of individual students. I have many resources including booklets, hand-outs, power-points and interactive activities. I am able to give clear guidance and support on how to answer exam questions. My approach involves a strong focus on exam technique. It will also involve identifying the areas students need most help, whether it is understanding the material, explaining the material, revision skills etc. I am able to explain complex theories and studies in a clear and concise way. I specialise in providing online tuition to meet the needs of individual students. I also offer group tuition.
