About Katie
Hello! My name is Katie and I am a graduate from the University of Oxford with a masters from the University of Warwick. I specialise in teaching English and History but with extensive experience teaching SEN students and a strong performance at both GCSE and A-Level I have the academic ability to provide a flexible and adaptive teaching service across a range of subjects if needed.
With tutoring experience going back to teaching English as a second language as an Oxford student I have the patience, communication skills and creativity needed to be an engaging and effective tutor. More recently, I have taught a number of students with special educational needs including dyslexia, ADHD and autism. I see adapting lesson plans and teaching techniques to my student's needs as an immensely rewarding activity and my students, alongside their parents and schools, have observed notable improvements in attainment, engagement and confidence since I started working with them.
I have experience with teaching online and am excited for the opportunity to bring my expertise and creativity to new students. I am able to work flexibly and would be able to start as soon as needed.
