About Ana

I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford, reading English Language and Literature. With experience tutoring children ages 6-18, I am keen to share the knowledge and love of literature I have gained at Oxford, and in the admissions process.

Literature is a love of mine, but the way it is taught in schools is often disengaging. I did not enjoy learning in school, so I am passionate about finding what makes language and literature interesting for everybody. Outside my studies, I rode horses on the University equestrian team and wrote for student arts magazines. I understand that students also have external interests and commitments, and can be flexible and understanding accordingly.

I am new to Superprof, but have tutored friends, relatives, and through an external tutoring business throughout my degree.

About the lesson

I have experience tutoring children and teenagers aged 6-18, and am passionate about making English language and literature intelligible and, most importantly, fun!

I understand that we all learn differently, and cater my classes accordingly, including for exam prep, homework help, general queries, and university admissions. After each class I will email materials, so that students are free to learn in their own time should they wish. At the beginning of each class we will have a quick recap to check retention, meaning that I can keep on top of student's individual progress and tailor help accordingly.

In our free initial call, we will discuss preferred learning methods, content, and outcomes. Whatever your tutoring needs, please ask, and we can arrange.
