Oxford graduate, Linguistics PhD candidate and experienced EFL teacher based in Cheltenham

I've worked with Rosie for the last two years, in which time she's proven to be an extremely thorough and engaging colleague. We've worked together on joint presentations for reading groups and research seminars during our time as PhD students at Queen Mary University, London. Rosie has also demonstrated her strong pedagogic prowess through university-level teaching in linguistics, as well as prior experience teaching English as a foreign language. I count Rosie as a colleague and a close friend. She is an excellent teacher who combines her personal experience with secondary education with a keen understanding of the challenges facing students taking A-Level and GSCE exams in English Language and English Literature (via grammar school entrance, acceptance to Oxford University with eventual first class honours in English Literature). In addition, she is a truly empathetic and patient person whose expertise would greatly benefit any prospective student.

Rosie is the best English teacher I have ever had. As a non- native speaker, Rosie was the one who always had an answer of my questions and an alternative phrase. Rosie’s knowledge is endless and the way she explains grammar is very professional and easy to understand at the same time. She helped me to prepare for my IELTS and Cambridge Business English exams which I passed successfully and I am now using every day at my new job in London.
