About Erin
Hi, I'm Erin! I'm a post-graduate student at the University of Oxford studying Global and Imperial History, and graduated with my BA in History in 2024. I've always enjoyed learning and want to help you get the best results out of your own academic journey. At A-Level, I received 4 A*s in History, French, Music and English Literature. I graduated from my Oxford BA with a high 2:1, and received two academic prizes for my achievements. I also secured grants to conduct archival research in France. French history is my area of expertise and I deal with French-language sources frequently. To continue to improve my own abilities, I also take French tuition. As such, I'm highly qualified and competent to help you with your studies. But more than that, I love working with others and want to share my passion. I had a great experience as a French speaking tutor, providing 1:1 and small group language support for secondary school students. I'm a confident communicator and genuinely passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential. Although I'm currently based in Oxford, my heart lies in Yorkshire where I'm originally from. I love running and taking my dog, Walter, on scenic walks through the gorgeous countryside. I'm also a big Leeds United fan, enjoy listening to music, reading and having a chat. I can't wait to get to know you too!

I'm offering remote sessions via MS Teams or Zoom, aimed GCSE students. I can be flexible with days and times to fit into your schedule. My goal is to help students to succeed in their exams, see academic progress and feel confident in their abilities. To achieve this, lessons will be supportive, relaxed and tailored to your concerns to allow students to make real progress. As a student Access and Admissions Rep, I have worked closely with students to provide admissions workshops and love contributing to their success. Additionally, I have volunteered as a French speaking tutor, providing small-group language support to Year 9 students. I can't wait to work together and support you along your academic journey!
