About Elinor
I am passionate about French language, grammar and literature. I completed my French degree at Oxford in 2023 and would love to share my knowledge: everything from helpful ways to remember French grammar to perfecting French conversation and discussing French texts. Having taught adult learners as well as assisting in GCSE French classes, I like to get to know the individual strengths and weaknesses of students to provide teaching tailored to their needs.

Lessons will typically last one hour but I am happy to extend further to finish topics and answer all questions. I adapt my teaching style to the individual student, their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. I have successfully taught beginner-level French to four adult learners, each enjoying the lessons and retaining what was taught.

French was a subject I always struggled with at school, but I wanted to improve my French to help me while travelling for work. Elinor is an excellent tutor who has taken the time to develop my vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills in French, combined with learning about the French culture. I cannot recommend Elinor enough!
Elinor was really good at explaining things clearly and helped loads with my French GCSE, especially with the speaking exam!
