About Sophie
As mentioned, I graduated with a master’s degree in linguistics from Oxford University, so I have experience with academic writing and editing.
I also worked with university level students as a student mentor in Canada, running practice courses in linguistics. I also have experience as a student mentor for high school students in the UK.
Currently, I am working as an elementary school teacher. I teach English language arts, math, science, and French.

I have experience creating lesson plans for students from an elementary school to university level, so all of my lessons will be designed specifically with each student in mind! I believe that creating a connection between student and teacher is important to design the best curriculum for them.
I currently work as an elementary school teacher and can teach all elementary subjects, including French. However, I am also experienced in high school level French and English, and even academic writing for university. I am open to students of all ages and levels!
I think what sets me apart from other tutors is my real love for the subjects that I teach and my genuine desire to have students walk away having learned something new.
