About James

I am an visiting lecturer at a number of Oxford colleges and I am seeking private students of all levels in all of my core subjects. My batchelers degree is in PPE from Oxford ( Politics, Philosophy and Economics), but I also have a masters degree in Sociology from Warwick University. I have had success with both A-level students and Degree level students, both with students who are struggling and require support and those who want to move beyond the teaching they are currently receiving.

About the lesson

I am a friendly and adaptable tutor. My aim is understand the needs of my students, as individuals, and therefore I take reflexive approach to teaching. I have had success with students who have been left behind because of personal problems, and also due to poor teaching (which unfortunately is rife across the schooling and university systems).
I also have had success with students who wish to improve on an already decent grade, or wish to enter elite level higher education. As well as those that want achieve the highest grade in their university degree.
I have taught at a number of the best higher education institutions, and I bring these important skills, learned over many years, to every one to one tutorial that I give. I have a wide knowledge of many academic fields, which brings a well rounded approach to teaching. It is important to improve every students love of their subject and of learning in general, in order that they can go on to bigger and better things in their careers.
