About Sam

Oxford University and Trinity College of Music alumnus, with extensive teaching experience as Head of Music in a London school.

Having completed my PGCE as Head of Music in a South London school, I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience with a strong track record of success. I secured my PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University with Distinction, and achieved my Qualified Teacher Status as Outstanding.

I am an experienced academic and practical musician, having graduated from Christ Church, Oxford with a Double First (BA in Music). I was a Christ Church academic scholar, having achieved a First in Honour Moderations. I am an accomplished classical and jazz pianist, and a Licentiate of Trinity College London, having completed my LCTL Diploma with 92%. I reached the quarter finals of BBC's Young Musician of the Year, the finals of Cambridge Young Musician of the Year, and EPTA regional finals. I was Musical Director for the Oxford University Big Band 'The Donut Kings', 2012-13, playing at numerous balls and functions. I play synth and keyboards in the London-based disco band 'Freak Boutique'.
