About Katarina

I am a keen believer in helping everyone achieve their goals, especially when it comes to language learning. I know how difficult it can be to have self-confidence when learning languages, as this is something I previously struggled with myself but overcame with encouragement and help from others. I want to help others gain confidence in their target language and truly understand the language. I have spent 12 years of my life learning foreign languages, four years of which were at the University of Oxford studying French and Italian, and I have spent four years teaching English, French and Italian with a TEFL qualification to teach English as a Foreign Language. I have been the student and the teacher, both of which have provided me with valuable experience to ensure you can achieve your language learning goals.

About the lesson

I believe in a hands-on approach to help students build self-confidence to work with and express themselves in the target language, going above and beyond the curriculum to ensure a deep understanding and demystification of the language. I ensure all four core bases of language learning are covered - listening, reading, speaking and writing - with a big focus on grammar, and help students actively interact with culture to immerse themselves in the target language and write strong essays for exams. Lessons last between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the needs of the student and the student's level. Lessons available for Italian GCSE and A-Level (up to C1 level).

I recently graduated from the University of Oxford in French and Italian and I have a TEFL 120 hours qualification to teach English as a foreign language. I have previously tutored French and Italian for GCSE in person, as well having a year's experience teaching English as a foreign language in classrooms across Europe.
