About Catherine

I am a Registered Nurse with +4 years of experience. I have worked in various areas and specialties including critical care, surgical and ambulatory care. I have a Bachelor of Nursing and Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Care Nursing and I am a preceptor for current nursing students as a Registered Nurse working in paediatrics. I understand the tertiary requirements of students as well as the challenges students face from busy schedules to lack of support. I enjoy facilitating students to learn and achieve their nursing study goals, as I remember how important mentors and tutors were to me when I was a student.

You may be about to go into your first year of nursing studies as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse and need support for the transition into tertiary studies and assistance to prepare. Maybe you’re in your final months requiring some extra assistance with exam preparation or you may be about to go on a clinical placement and may need some extra confidence to assist in completing your rotation with high achievements. Essentially, I will individualise the content to you, so you can effectively achieve your goals. I look forward to meeting and helping you on your nursing journey.

About the lesson

As a nursing graduate I understand how stressful it can be to study with the demanding deadlines, tests, exams and clinical placements. It doesn’t have to be this way though. I can provide an individualised learning plan to assist you in reaching your study and career goals. I can assist with the foundations of nursing, paediatric pathophysiology and pharmacology, critical care and professional practice. As I am a practising registered nurse I am able to provide current, relevant and reputable nursing resources such as online websites, journals, videos and podcasts helpful in aiding different learning styles. If the course is overwhelming you with the amount of content and little time to learn, I have some excellent study templates and tips to organise your study time effectively to reach your best potential. I offer classes from 1.5 - 2 hrs.
