About Dru
About me:
I hold dual Master's degrees in Adolescent Developmental Counseling and Teaching English, and I'm an ICF-credentialed coach. I've spent years working with young people and the parents who love them, and I've seen what changes a relationship and what just adds noise.
My approach is warm, practical, and direct — strength-based, never shaming, and built on the idea that you already know your child better than anyone.

Parenting is the most important relationship of your life, and also the one nobody prepares you for. Whether your child is three or seventeen, the patterns you build now shape how connected you'll feel for years to come.
I work 1:1 with parents who want more than tips and tricks. We focus on the real stuff — communication that actually lands, conflict that doesn't blow up the whole week, boundaries that hold without breaking the relationship, and the daily moments where you want to show up differently than you were raised to.
Common things parents bring to our sessions:
- A child who has gone quiet, or who only opens up to everyone but you
- Power struggles, attitude, or constant negotiation that's wearing you down
- Big emotions (theirs or yours) that escalate faster than you can catch them
- Feeling like the same conversation keeps happening on repeat
- Worry about screens, school, friendships, or what you're not seeing
- Co-parenting tension and wanting to protect your child from the middle
