About Mariah
I'm a high school senior and I'm in love with reading and writing. I scored within the top 95% on my SAT English and I got a 4 on the AP Language test given by College Board. I'm also currently taking AP Literature because I want to pursue an English degree! Growing up I usually had my nose buried in a book, when I didn't I was busy helping others. I've always been empathetic and this helped me assist my peers with things they were scared of asking. Now that I'm older and much more informed on this subject, I think my down-to-earth nature enhances my tutoring.

I work well with all students from kindergarten through high school. A typical lesson with me will begin with the student telling me about their current progress in their English class. I'll ask them to give me an example of something they don't understand, and using this baseline of understanding, I'll create an outline of what the rest of the lesson could look like. I've done many marketing, debate, and general presentations so if it involves any persuasive writing or public speaking, I'll help you crush it. I'm great with homework help and test prep but if you have a different idea for the lesson, I'll be more than happy to follow along!

Details
I'm trying to save up for college, the expenses that I already know of, and the ones I'll learn about along the way. I'm based in Arizona where the hourly minimum wage is $13.85 an hour. I figure since I'm great working with others and I'm competent in the subject, my lessons are worth about that much.
