About Ryan
I have a passion for language-learning and my teaching style is direct and enthusiastic. I started school in France and have lived in France, Spain and Quebec at various points in my life. I first began tutoring to support my university studies. I then worked hard to become a teacher of French and Spanish and went on to teach both up to GCSE level at two Ofsted-rated outstanding schools. After 6 years as a qualified teacher, I left to establish my own tutoring business which has grown steadily since its beginning in May 2015. My clients include pupils studying for their GCSE; pupils struggling having been moved to a higher ability group; adults looking to retire to France/Spain and who have little or no knowledge of the language and conversation groups. I believe that age should not be a barrier to learning a new language. Although I specialise in GCSE preparation (my in-depth knowledge of what exam boards are looking for is often a reassurance for parents), I will tutor most ages and stages for the love of speaking and sharing these two amazing languages and their cultures. University : - University of Central Lancashire - BA(Hons) French and Linguistics [2:1] - University of Hull - PGCE Secondary Level [PASS] School : GCSEs - French [A*] - Spanish [A*] - German [A*] Churcher's College Sixth Form, Petersfield, Hants A Levels - French [C] - Spanish [C] Other Qualifications : European Computer Driving Licence

Ryan has worked within my department for many years and has always been truly professional and a committed teacher. His fluency in many languages has been a inspiration to previous students and Ryan's classroom presence and ability to get the most out of students along with his skill & enthusiasm supported the departments GCSE achievements.
Ryan has been tutoring my wife and I for the last 8 months. He adapts his lessons to our varying needs and uses a range of resources and teaching techniques which support our learning. Ryan is a friendly tutor who uses his sense of humour to help learners overcome barriers.
I would fully recommend Ryan to tutor anyone in Spanish or French.View more recommendations
