About Erica
I am passionate about working with kids and have always loved helping others learn. During middle school, I struggled with all subjects, but through hard work and determination, I transformed into a dedicated student at UC Berkeley. My personal journey allows me to empathize with children who face similar challenges, and I am dedicated to helping them find their own path to success.
In high school, I served as a leader, teaching my peers and offering free tutoring to underclassmen who needed support. As a compassionate person, I genuinely care about each student's growth and strive to create a warm and welcoming environment. I aim to make every lesson engaging, interactive, and tailored to each child's needs, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their abilities.

As a tutor, I create a supportive and engaging environment tailored to each student's needs. My teaching method includes interactive activities, such as games and real-life examples, to make learning fun and memorable. A typical lesson plan begins with a quick review, followed by interactive exercises and problem-solving activities. What sets me apart is my experience working with children and students with learning disabilities, as well as my ability to teach in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. My mother tongue is Chinese, although I am fully fluent in English, and I can provide seamless translation between these languages. My lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students looking for an enjoyable and patient approach to learning, particularly in mathematics
