About Simon
I have a First Class History degree from Oxford and experience in researching at postgraduate level. I've spent five years teaching in the State and Independent sectors, where students achieved outstanding GCSE and A Level results. I specialise in 20th century Russia and China, Parliamentary Reform in Britain and the Tudors, but my specialist interests range widely from the Anglo-Saxon world to 20th century Britain.

I aim to engage KS3, KS4 and KS5 students deeply and develop their skills to meet exam board demands. At GCSE, I've taught Edexcel, OCR and IGCSE syllabuses. At A Level I've experience of both AQA and Edexcel and as an examiner for AQA. I provide one-to-one coaching for successful Oxford admission candidates and revision support for GCSE and A Level entrants.
