About Kristian

Hi! I’m a dedicated and passionate tutor specializing in AP U.S. History and AP World History. As a high school graduate who excelled in both courses, I know what it takes to succeed—and I’m here to help you do the same. I combine clear explanations, engaging discussions, and personalized strategies to make history easier to understand and remember. Whether you're aiming for a 5 on the AP exam or just need help staying on track, I bring patience, structure, and encouragement to every session. I may be early in my career, but I’ve been in your shoes and know how to connect with students in a relatable and effective way. Your success is my priority, and I’ll work with you every step of the way.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach:

As a tutor, I believe in making history feel alive and relevant. I focus on breaking complex topics into simple, digestible parts and using real-world connections to help students truly understand events and concepts. I tailor each session to a student's learning style—whether that’s visual aids, discussions, timelines, or practice quizzes.

Typical Lesson Plan:

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student already knows. We’ll then dive into a specific topic or time period, explore key themes and cause-effect relationships, and finish with practice questions or a short discussion to reinforce learning. I also help with AP-style writing and essay tips when needed.

What Sets Me Apart:

Though I’m a recent high school graduate, I’ve completed AP U.S. History and AP World History and understand how these courses are taught from a student’s perspective. I’m approachable, patient, and great at explaining ideas in a way that sticks. I focus on building confidence as well as content knowledge.

Who My Lessons Are For:

My lessons are ideal for high school students taking AP U.S. History (APUSH), AP World History, or general history classes. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, catching up on missed lessons, or looking to improve your writing and test skills, I’m here to help.
