About Amelia

I’ve always had a real passion for the Irish language and helping others enjoy it too. I earned a H2 in Leaving Certificate Irish with nearly full marks in my oral exam, and I’m now studying Irish at college level. I know that Irish can feel challenging at times, but I also know how rewarding it is when it finally starts to click. That’s why I want to teach — to help students gain confidence, understand the language more deeply, and see that Gaeilge can be fun, practical, and achievable for everyone.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is friendly, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence and understanding through clear explanations, interactive oral practice, and exam-focused preparation. I use a mix of grammar work, speaking exercises, listening practice, and writing tips, always keeping lessons engaging and practical. A typical session lasts about one hour, allowing enough time to review material, work through new topics, and give feedback. I earned a H2 in Leaving Certificate Irish, with nearly full marks in my oral exam, and I’m currently studying Irish at college level. My grinds are ideal for Junior Certificate students of all abilities and Leaving Cert students practicing for their oral who want to improve their fluency, confidence, and results in Irish.
