About Ionela
Hi! I’m a 32-year-old native Italian speaker, originally from Italy and currently based in Ireland.
During the Covid period, I taught Italian to both beginner and intermediate students, and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. Teaching quickly became something I’m very passionate about.
I like to believe that my approach is friendly, engaging and a bit playful: learning a new language should feel natural and enjoyable, not stressful. I like to adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and personality, creating a relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable and build confidence step by step.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to improve your Italian, I’d be happy to help you not only learn the language, but also discover the culture behind it.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, goals and learning style. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some knowledge of Italian, I will adapt the content to help you progress in a natural and effective way.
I like to keep my lessons interactive and engaging, using a mix of conversation, practical exercises and real-life situations. I also include a more playful approach when helpful, as I believe that learning is easier and more enjoyable when it doesn’t feel too rigid.
We can focus on:
speaking and conversation
grammar and structure
vocabulary building
pronunciation and confidence
I always aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and improving step by step.
Lessons can be held online or in person (Cork area), depending on your preference.
