About Avril
I am a teacher of English language arts, and preparing students to effectiveIy read, write, speak and listen English are what I do best. I believe every child can learn, and it is therefore my responsibility to create such learning situations to stimulate his/her capacity to learn and assimilate information. Teaching and learning English allows for creativity and personal growth.

Being a 21st century teacher allows me to create a learning environment that fosters collaboration, interaction, communication and inquiry. Through the use of discovery learning, students take control of thair own learning. My classes are structured to develop the students' self confidence because they take turns to lead discussions, have presentations and scaffold slower learners. ICT is also important feature of my class, because it caters to inclusiveness and differentiation.
