About Jay
I'm a qualified mechanical engineer and when I was faced with building a room in my garden I decided to design a Passivhaus, a German construction design that massively reduces heating costs by using a combination of air tightness, insulation and ventilation techniques that can conserve from 70% to 90% of waste heat usually exiting the building. Following that we will devise a detailed project plan in line with your budget. I will write you a shopping list, recommend local suppliers, and guide you through the process, from groundwork to roofing. All advice will be in line with 2025 UK Building Regulations and Permitted Development Rights* -*if required. I've studied them thoroughly and know where to refer to.
