About Payton
Hi! I’m Payton. I love helping others and have been in leadership roles throughout my life. During the school year, I’m active on leadership teams, the student senate, and various boards. In the summer, I work as a camp counselor for several camps, teaching STEAM, arts, music, and social justice. Right now, I’m deciding on which college to attend for a medical program.

My lessons will always depend on what each student needs. Everyone learns differently, so I’ll structure our time to fit you. That said, we’ll usually follow a simple flow:
Goal setting - We talk about what goals we want to hit today, and long-term goals
Warm-Up – A quick review of what we covered last time or a short activity to get in the right mindset.
Main Topic – We’ll focus on the specific skill or concept you want to work on, whether that’s essay structure, grammar, reading comprehension, or etc
Practice – We’ll work through examples together, then you’ll try on your own with my feedback and support.
Wrap-Up – We’ll go over what you learned, point out your strengths, and set small, doable goals for next time.
