My name is Ryan Lane, and I’m a dedicated and experienced English tutor with a deep passion for literature and reading. With a background in both classroom teaching and library science, and Special Ed. I bring a well-rounded approach to helping students succeed—not just academically, but as thoughtful, confident learners. What sets me apart is my ability to combine strong instructional skills with genuine care for each student’s emotional and social well-being. My Approach as a Tutor

A Typical Lesson Plan
A standard lesson with me follows this structure:
Check-in (5-10 minutes): A brief emotional and academic check-in to see how the student is feeling and what they need
Goal Setting (5 minutes): Establishing clear, achievable objectives for the session
Instruction & Practice (30-40 minutes): Engaging with the material through discussion, guided analysis, and hands-on practice
Review & Reflection (10 minutes): Revisiting key points, reflecting on progress, and planning next steps
