My name is Abigail, and my approach as an English tutor is centered on patience, encouragement, and helping students build confidence step by step. I understand that not every student learns at the same pace, and I especially enjoy supporting students who may be struggling or feel unsure about their abilities. Because I have seen how challenging English can feel, I focus on creating a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
My teaching methodology is simple and student-focused. I break down topics into smaller, easier parts, explain ideas clearly, and use guided practice to help students truly understand the lesson. I also adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs. For example, if a student needs help with reading, I focus on comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. If they need help with creative writing or thesis preparation, I guide them through brainstorming, organizing ideas, sentence structure, and building strong arguments.
A typical lesson with me begins with a quick review of previous work, followed by the main skill for the day. We then work through examples together, practice with exercises, and end with a short recap to make sure the student understands what was covered. I like to keep lessons interactive so students stay engaged and feel involved in the learning process.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am relatable, patient, and genuinely committed to helping students improve. I do not just focus on getting the right answer. I focus on helping students understand how to get there and feel more confident doing it on their own. My lessons are best suited for Grade 1–8 students who need support in reading, creative writing, general English skills, and thesis preparation
