About JoJo
I am a Hmong-American with a BS in Biology. My future goals are to become a physician’s assistant with an emphasis in pediatrics. By working & tutoring kids, I feel like nurturing or aiding them in things that are tough for them is a gateway to better understanding their train of thought and emotions. Ive enjoyed all the students I’ve had the opportunity to work with and I’m looking forward to the future ones as well!

I mostly teach kids with dyslexia or kids with trouble with phonetics. My main goal is to be patient with my students and go over the content as many times as I feel it is needed until the subject is fully understood. My previous tutoring coach is a certified Barton tutor, and those are the techniques I am familiar with to assist my students. There is an assessment test at the end of each lesson and if there is more than two mistakes, we go back into the specific section that needs more attention and re-do the lesson.
