About Marina

I’m a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience, dedicated to preparing students for auditions with professional touring bands, recording sessions, and advanced composition programs. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Guitar Performance, which has deepened my understanding of both the technical and expressive aspects of guitar playing. My passion lies in unlocking each student’s unique performance and creative potential, especially in high-stakes environments where confidence and skill are essential. I focus on helping students develop strong technique, musicality, and stage presence. Whether it’s nailing a challenging audition or composing original music, I provide tailored guidance to meet individual goals. I believe every musician has a distinct voice, and my role is to help you find and refine yours. Lessons are intense but rewarding, combining focused practice with creative exploration. I work closely with students to build resilience and professionalism, preparing them for real-world demands. From advanced techniques to expressive phrasing, I cover everything needed to stand out. I also emphasize mindset and preparation, knowing that success comes from both skill and confidence. My goal is to see my students thrive on stage and in the studio. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on preparing guitarists for real-world ensemble playing and live performances. I emphasize understanding band dynamics, developing strong stage presence, and mastering live performance etiquette. Playing with others requires listening, timing, and communication skills—all of which we work on together.

I use practical exercises that simulate live band situations, helping students build confidence and adaptability. Whether you’re a Fingerstyle Enthusiast or a Late Bloomer, I tailor lessons to your strengths and goals. I believe every player can shine in group settings with the right guidance and practice.

We focus on blending your sound with others, following cues, and keeping energy on stage. I also cover important skills like handling nerves and interacting with an audience. My goal is to get you comfortable and confident when performing live.
