About Sela
With a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering (Guitar Focus) and over 5 years of teaching experience, I specialize in jazz and blues improvisation. I love helping students explore modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh harmony, and bebop phrasing while discovering their own voice. Improvisation is not just technique—it’s personal expression.
I provide lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you’re a school student, hobbyist, or professional musician, I guide intermediate and advanced players toward confident, expressive playing. I’ve helped students prepare for gigs, recordings, and creative exploration with tangible results.

I teach guitar with a clear, structured method for building reading skills. Lessons cover tablature, standard notation, sight-reading, and rhythm exercises. Students progress step by step, gaining fluency and confidence.
I support both “The Classical Purist” and “The Jazz Explorer” in becoming strong, independent readers. We start with fundamentals, then move to more complex rhythms and melodies. Exercises always connect reading to actual guitar playing.
Students gain practical fluency in chords, melodies, and rhythms. Sight-reading is emphasized to make reading new music natural. I also integrate lessons with improvisation and performance skills.
My goal is to make reading music simple, enjoyable, and practical. Together, we unlock the full potential of written music for guitar.
