About Leisha
I am a Spanish language educator with 10+ years teaching experience at elementary, secondary, and university levels. I have also worked with the elderly and as a private tutor. I have a BA in Spanish and Secondary education, MA in Spanish/Latin American Studies, and am ABD in Spanish. Also fluent in Portuguese ans currently obtaining my TEFL Certificate to expand my language teaching horizons!

I approach my language classes and tutoring classes with care in assuring the student’s interests and needs are kept at the heart of the lesson. I believe in practicing conversation, listening, reading and writing, and incorporate each of these into my lessons. I make grammar understandable and sometimes even fun (so I’ve been told!). I teach patiently and with great care to encourage my students and ceoebrate even the slightest of their linguistic successes!
