About Naomi
I am a committed singing teacher with 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance specializing in Art Song. My lessons focus on helping singers improvise in jazz and blues styles. I teach scat techniques, melodic ideas, and harmonic awareness.
You learn how to think musically while singing. Ear training and theory support real performance situations. Improvisation becomes natural.
We work on vocal technique and emotional delivery. Tone, breath control, and range are developed carefully. Lessons are personalized.
I encourage every student to build a unique sound. Together we create confident, expressive performances.

My teaching approach focuses on building a healthy, confident singing voice step by step. I begin with posture, breathing, and tone production so the voice feels relaxed and supported. Good technique comes first. From there we work on pitch accuracy, vocal range, and clear diction.
Lessons include warm-ups, ear training, and simple vocal exercises. Students learn how to hear intervals and stay in tune while singing. We also study phrasing and musical expression so songs sound natural and engaging.
I guide singers in choosing repertoire that suits their vocal type and personality. Proper song selection prevents strain and improves performance quality. Audition preparation is a major part of my training. We practice mock auditions, microphone use, and how to enter and present confidently.
Performance anxiety is addressed with practical strategies. Breathing control, focus techniques, and repetition help you stay calm under pressure. Stage presence is developed through movement, expression, and storytelling. Confidence grows with experience.
This method works especially well for adult beginners and advanced teens. Each student is encouraged and challenged to perform with assurance. The goal is not only to sing correctly but to communicate and impress in real auditions and performances.
