About Aya

I am a Japanese teacher with two years of experience, teaching beginner learners.
Before teaching, I worked in the trade industry and as a retail sales manager in Japan, and supported foreign job seekers.
I strongly believe that learning a language starts with understanding and respecting cultural differences.
In my lessons, I create a friendly and safe space where beginners can relax, make mistakes, and build confidence while learning Japanese step by step.

About the lesson

I teach beginner-level Japanese with a strong focus on conversation.
Grammar is explained in a simple, visual way, and we practice it right away through speaking.
About 80% of each lesson is your speaking time, so you can feel more comfortable using Japanese.

I use a direct method in Japanese, but in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where mistakes are totally okay.
The goal is to help you enjoy using Japanese, not just studying it.

I have over 12 years of work experience in Japan, in both office and customer-facing roles.
This helps me support learners who want practical Japanese for daily life, and simple, natural Japanese used at work.

My lessons are great for complete beginners, travelers, and anyone who wants to use Japanese in real-life situations, whether in daily life, at work, or while living in Japan.
