About Lacey

I am a French tutor with 5 years of experience teaching high school and college students, having guided over 150 learners to fluency, academic success, and confidence in their communication skills. My teaching philosophy is rooted in personalised learning, designing lessons that cater to each student’s strengths, learning style, and goals.

I integrate interactive conversation practice, multimedia tools, role-playing exercises, and cultural insights to create engaging and practical lessons. My unique skill lies in simplifying complex grammar and vocabulary concepts, enabling students to learn efficiently while gaining confidence in expressing themselves.

I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging, and motivating environment, where students feel comfortable exploring language, asking questions, and taking risks. Lessons are structured to ensure balanced growth in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Teaching French is more than a profession—it is my passion. I aim to provide a tailored, engaging, and enriching experience, helping students achieve fluency, cultural understanding, and a lifelong love for the French language.

About the lesson

My French teaching methodology is interactive and student-focused. I use real-life examples and case studies such as restaurant conversations, travel planning, workplace discussions, and academic writing tasks.

These activities help students practise natural communication. I teach grammar in context so students understand how to use it correctly in real situations. Problem-solving exercises encourage independent thinking and help students express themselves confidently in French. Motivation plays an important role in my classroom.
