About Avery
With 8 years of experience as a Guitar tutor and performer, I am committed to helping school and college students achieve their full musical potential. I teach step by step, guiding students from basic chords and strumming patterns to confidently performing complete songs.
One of the most fulfilling milestones of my career has been seeing students who initially struggled with rhythm and finger coordination gain confidence and perform successfully at school and college events. I focus on technical accuracy, rhythm control, chord clarity, scale exercises, and expressive playing, while also encouraging creativity and individual musical expression.
My classes are structured, supportive, and adaptable to each student’s pace, creating a positive learning environment. My mission is to inspire confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for guitar in every student I teach.

My Guitar teaching methodology is centred on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students grow steadily and confidently. I start by understanding each student’s learning style and musical interests so that lessons can be personalised and engaging. Motivation is encouraged by setting clear short-term and long-term goals, which help students stay focused and committed to practice.
Communication is always simple, patient, and supportive. I explain chord structures, rhythm patterns, scale exercises, and finger techniques step by step to ensure clarity. Integrity plays an important role in my teaching, as I emphasise correct posture, hand positioning, tone clarity, and disciplined practice routines from the beginning. I provide honest and constructive feedback to guide improvement.
Creativity is developed through improvisation sessions, experimenting with chord variations, and composing short musical pieces. Along with Guitar, I also teach music theory and ear training for overall musical development.
