About Michelle
Pacing remains deliberate because building a foundation in intonation and ear training requires patience. I provide a monthly progress report shared with parents to ensure everyone sees the incremental gains in posture and shifting positions. Developing a consistent vibrato and sight reading ability happens naturally as we explore the technical side of the instrument.

Standing in a practice room, I hear the exact moment a student finds the right hold. I completed my MMus at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal before spending 13 years refining my teaching style.
Growing up in Bordeaux shaped how I listen to the tension in a bow arm. It is quite common for my students to study voice and violin simultaneously, which I find enhances their rhythmic sense. I appreciate the challenge of helping self-taught players unlearn bad habits. Working with such dedicated people is genuinely enjoyable.
