I am half Persian and have been taking Farsi lessons with Charlie to brush up on my conversational skills. Charlie is an incredible tutor who has such a kind and thoughtful teaching style. She takes time to prepare materials for lessons, and gives me flexibility to choose what I would like to learn. She is a natural and gifted communicator who always makes me feel comfortable and encouraged (even when I make mistakes!) Her Persian accent is flawless and by not being an Iranian native herself, she really understands what the challenges of learning Farsi are - and is able to pre empt the trickier concepts.
