About Katie
Hello I’m Katie! I’m 18, from York and I am currently studying at Durham University. Having gained a 9 at GCSE and A* at A-Level, I have always loved philosophy. I was a subject ambassador year 9-13 and have had 2 years prior tutoring experience. I know how daunting it can feel trying to revise such a content heavy subject, so I always make sure my sessions are very informal and encouraging environments- there is no such thing as a stupid question! :)

I like to create folders for my students to both track progress and also provide revision and knowledge resources. These include past papers, answers I have written that attained full marks and “cheat sheets” that breakdown exam technique. I alternate between content and technique sessions, so you have a chance to both consolidate and apply what you are learning. I like to include mini recall quizzes at the start of each session, but the rest of our time will be discussion based- think of it like we are having a gossip about philosophy. I find this to be much more engaging that being talked at for an hour!
