About Lucy
My name is Lucy Hunt. I am 44 years old and live in East Yorkshire.
I attended The University of Leeds where is studied History and Sociology, then The University of Hull where I gained my History PGCE qualification. I have 11 years experience teaching ages 11-18 years, covering Key stage 3, GCSE and Alevel History courses.
I took a career break in 2016 to focus on raising my 2 young children - now aged 9 and 14. I have a lifelong love of all things History and an in-depth understanding of many areas of it.

My approach to tutoring is to enable students to develop their knowledge and understanding of their subject through a more in depth look at the area of study which may be challenging for them. To work with the knowledge and skills students already have and further develop these in order for them to become confident and exam ready. My aim is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for them to meet exam criteria and achieve their maximum potential.
