In my teaching, I am personally guided by the following basic principles i) the need to create a very supportive learning atmosphere or environment, ii) helping students to build self-confidence, iii) creating congenial and tension-free learning conditions to whip up the enthusiasm in students, and iv) ensure that class interactions become very participatory and not few students domineering all the time. To achieve the above, it is important to be very receptive and approachable to all students.
