About Farhad
I am a PhD Civil Engineer, EIT, former university lecturer, and practicing construction professional with experience in both academic instruction and real-world engineering projects.
I help students prepare for the FE Civil and PE Civil exams and strengthen their understanding of civil engineering subjects, including structural analysis, statics, mechanics of materials, hydraulics, fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, mathematics, and construction engineering.
My teaching style focuses on understanding the engineering concepts behind each equation—not simply memorizing formulas. I explain difficult topics clearly, identify gaps in understanding, and help students develop an efficient and confident problem-solving approach.

Every lesson is customized according to your selected exam, exam date, current preparation level, and weakest subjects.
For PE Civil: Structural students, lessons may include structural analysis, loads, reinforced concrete, steel, foundations, mechanics of materials, and efficient navigation of applicable references and design standards.
For PE Civil: WRE students, lessons may include hydrology, closed-conduit hydraulics, open-channel flow, groundwater, water resources, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and environmental engineering calculations.
For FE Civil students, we can review individual subjects or develop a comprehensive study plan covering the highest-priority exam topics.
During our sessions, you will learn how to:
• Identify the correct solution method quickly
• Navigate the NCEES handbook and applicable references efficiently
• Apply equations, units, and conversion factors correctly
• Use your approved calculator more effectively
• Solve realistic exam-style problems under time limits
• Recognize common traps and eliminate incorrect answers

• Develop a practical and organized exam-preparation plan

The complimentary 30-minute introductory meeting is used to discuss your selected exam, exam date, previous preparation, available study time, and strongest and weakest subjects. Based on this information, I will recommend a personalized study approach.
Regular lessons may include concept instruction, guided problem solving, reference and code navigation, calculator techniques, timed practice, and exam strategy. Students may schedule individual sessions for specific topics or purchase a discounted package for ongoing exam preparation.
