About Rolake
I am a passionate academic and artist with a PhD in English Literature from University College London (UCL). My thesis focused on contemporary British literature, and combined my painting practice with archival research methodologies. My educational background also includes an MA degree in English from UCL and a BA (Hons) English Literature degree from the University of Kent. My creative and care-centred approach to learning means that not only will students improve their essay planning and writing skills, but they will also gain greater insights into the significance of different socio-historical contexts and the impact of art and culture on the world around them.

Having taught BA (Hons) English undergraduate students at University College London (UCL), I believe that successful learning outcomes require a collaborative approach as well as a praxis of care. My lessons are tailored to suit my students' specific needs to ensure that each individual achieves their goals within stipulated timeframes. I offer online lessons in English Language and English Literature for GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate students, which range between one to two hours per session.
