About Emma
I'm a second-year PhD researcher at the University of Leicester, studying how burials in England and Denmark change during the Viking Age as these communities start interacting with one another. I completed my BA (Ancient History and Archaeology) and MRes (Viking Age Archaeology) at the University of Birmingham. I also worked as a data analyst in between degrees.

I've taught archaeology and history from Key Stage 1 to third year undergraduates, so can tailor sessions to whatever level you need. I cover a range of time periods and topics from Ancient Egypt, Rome, Greece, and Western Asia; Medieval Europe (particularly the Viking Age); the Unification of Italy to Mussolini; England from Pitt to Peel; the French Revolution; 19th to 20th century Russia; and many more. Archaeology is a flexible subject (part of its charm!) so I can tutor across several themes such as literature, mythology, theology, philosophy, thanatology, etc. I can also assist with your writing, or specific things you're working on, as well as helping with some fundamentals of data analysis.
