About Eric
With an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Digital Humanities, a Master of Library and Information Studies, and a PhD in Media and Communication, I am equipped to offer advisory services and in-depth training in a variety of subjects.
Believe me when I say, I have been where you are. Succeeding in higher education can be a struggle. It is important to recognize that asking for help is not a sign of failure or weakness.
At the same time, getting the support you need within your classroom or institution is not always possible.
My goal as tutor, mentor, and coach is to build up your knowledge and expertise in a safe, judgment-free zone, so that you can have the confidence you need to achieve success within your academic program.

Hi! I am a PhD researcher with a background in media and communications, information science, and literature, film, and game studies. I coach undergraduate and graduate students seeking support in a variety of subjects, including:
- academic English and essay writing,
- thesis preparation,
- qualitative research methods,
- Design and methodologies for social sciences research projects, including human-based thesis research
I am here to help! My sessions offer instructional support and training for university student researchers. Based on my own experiences as a student and researcher, I know well the gaps in support and barriers to success that students can encounter.
My approach is to first assess your needs as a student, and then to tailor resources, exercises, and discussions designed to increase your knowledge and expertise with a given topic.
