PhD Spanish Professor | The Structure of a University Course, the Attention of a Private Tutor

I’ve taken online Spanish lessons before, but studying with Raúl felt completely different from the beginning. The classes felt much more like a real university course than casual tutoring sessions, but without being rigid or impersonal.

Every lesson had a clear structure and purpose, and I always felt that we were building toward something instead of just “practicing conversation.” At the same time, he adapted the lessons to topics I was genuinely interested in, which made the learning process much more engaging and natural.

One thing I appreciated a lot was how balanced the classes were. We didn’t only speak—we also worked on listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, and grammar in a way that felt connected and progressive. I could actually notice my Spanish becoming more solid over time.
Raúl is incredibly knowledgeable and explains difficult concepts very clearly, but he’s also patient and attentive. I always felt comfortable asking questions and never felt lost during the learning process.
