We will focus on playing songs/pieces to learn guitar, as well as practice improvisation and notation reading (depending on your interests). We can focus on grade exam requirements if that is your goal, including sight-reading skills, scales and technical skills. Some musicology/history of music/contextual information will always be provided as a backdrop for learning.
I am studying for my PhD in Music, have a Grade 8 in Jazz Guitar, play regularly in a major ensemble. I have a BMus and MMus in Music.
You may be any age or experience level, I have experience teaching all guitar learners! Lessons typically will be 45-50 minutes and we will design and maintain a learning plan together to track your goals and learning.
