About Kimberley
Hello! I have almost 3 years of full time teaching experience, and am a true history nerd. I also dabble extensively in science. I adore Ancient History, the Tudor and Stuart period, the history of medicine, the Renaissance and frankly history/the history or art in general. I love it so much I'm doing a PhD on it, so if you need a bit of help breaking it all down – and there's a lot, so don't worry if it's confusing – I can help.
I'm currently teaching history undergraduates at Durham University, and I love it. Do get in touch if you think we might be able to work together. And, most importantly, the best of luck with your exams – they're not as scary as they seem.

My job is to make the material more accessible and more interesting for you. When you're interested, you'll learn better. So, I don't expect to lecture at you for 55 minutes (!). Instead, I hope that the session can be more of a conversation, with you offering your best guess where you're not sure of something and us generally exploring the topic together. So much of this stuff is learning to think in different ways and using your common sense, and by the end, I hope you'll be incredibly confident with the material.
We'll use images and other non-textual material in our sessions, and you'll explain to me at the end what you think you've learned. We'll keep a close eye on the exam papers, and when you're ready, we can certainly hold a mock exam. We will also follow a plan of those topics with which you're experiencing the most difficulty.
