About Muqiu

Hello, my name is Muqiu. I am a PhD candidate in Media Studies at Queensland University of Technology, with previous experience as a Chinese writing teacher and journalist in China. I hold the Mandarin Proficiency Certificate (Level 2A) and the Chinese Language Teacher Qualification Certificate. Teaching has always been a passion for me because I believe education is not only about knowledge but also about inspiring confidence. My goal is to help students unlock their potential, improve their communication skills, and enjoy the process of learning. With patience, empathy, and structured guidance, I aim to create a supportive environment where every learner feels heard and motivated.

About the lesson

I offer engaging Mandarin and writing lessons tailored to each student’s needs. My teaching combines structured guidance with interactive discussion, helping learners build confidence in both writing and speaking. A typical class lasts 60 minutes, with extended sessions available for advanced learners.

I am a PhD candidate in Media Studies at QUT, with experience as a Chinese writing teacher and journalist. I hold the Mandarin Proficiency Certificate (Level 2A) and Chinese Language Teacher Qualification Certificate. My lessons are designed for school students, university learners, and adults who want to improve literacy, academic writing, or communication skills.
