About Mayank
I am a research scholar working on the cultural aspects of vegetarianism and carnism and how colonialism impacted the existing practices in India. I am interested in interacting with young students to learn how they perceive history. Viewing the past in a scientific way teaches us to understand and unlearn our social programming and develop empathy and critical thinking so that we view the world in a more unprejudiced way.

I make History fun by explaining the events like a story so the concepts appear vivid. At times I digress to connect it to real life things to make it interesting. It's all about understanding the changes and continuities so that we get a clear portrait of today by painting the panorama of the past.
