About Josh
I recently graduated from the University of Richmond (UR) with a BA in Spanish. During my time at UR, I worked as a Spanish Assistant Teacher, teaching students Spanish grammar and helping them express themselves through writingi and speech. I also worked at the Academic Skills Center, where I provide one-on-one Spanish tutoring to students to provide them with individualized guidance to improve their Spanish. Additionally, I have researched Spanish linguistics during my time at UR, which demonstrates my expertise and fluency in Spanish. Ultimately, these experiences helped me receive acceptance into the Georgetown Hispanic Linguistics PhD program, which I will be attending in the fall.

My lessons are tailor-made to fit what you want to achieve. That being said, I plan on providing you with the strategies and tools that I have used to become fluent in Spanish as my second language. I will use my background in linguistics (BA in Spanish/minor in Linguistics from the University of Richmond; recently accepted to Georgetown University's Spanish Linguistics PhD program) to help you master challenging aspects of Spanish oral communication to help you feel more confident expressing yourself in Spanish. Additionally, I will provide you with essay writing tips and strategies to help you write in a wide range of situations, from formal work emails to texts to friends. My lessons are open to whomever is interested, but I have the most experience working with middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults.
