About Elena
I have a BA in History of Art with Museum and Art Gallery Studies and an MA in Arts Management and Heritage Studies. I am on my first PhD year at the University of Leeds, undertaking a research project titled ‘The New Era of the Country House: Nostalgia, Interpretation and Inclusivity at Wentworth Woodhouse’. I am a consistent museum, art gallery and heritage visitor, seeking to gain a better understanding at what audiences are interested in, whether they’re feeling included/excluded, as well as the reason behind visiting.

I am very passionate about teaching Art History, as I believe it’s a very wide and important subject. My area of expertise is British Art and Architecture and in particular the creation of the museum, country house history and the emergence of the concept of heritage.
I believe in hands-on education so my students will have the benefit of museum and gallery visits alongside our lessons. If the lessons take place online, appropriate arrangements can be made depending on distance. Typical lesson duration between 1-2 hours.
I am available to teach people of all ages, with a primary interest in children in preparation for A level examinations.
