About Etta
I am an experienced piano tutor with over 18+ years of teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I believe that learning piano should be a fun and rewarding journey, not just a task. My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear communication, and understanding each student’s unique learning style and goals.
I create personalised lesson plans that gradually develop finger technique, rhythm, hand coordination, and sight-reading, while also introducing advanced concepts when students are ready. Beyond piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of music.
I incorporate creative exercises, song-based practice, and performance preparation to make lessons engaging and meaningful. My strength is breaking down complex ideas into simple steps, helping students overcome challenges and stay motivated.
I also emphasise building strong practice habits and self-discipline so students can achieve consistent improvement. My goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment where students feel confident, inspired, and passionate about learning piano.

My teaching methodology focuses on engaging, flexible, and creative lessons. I believe piano lessons should develop confidence, technical skills, and creativity while remaining enjoyable and motivating. Through clear communication, I understand each student’s goals, strengths, and learning style, which allows me to design lessons that are personalised, effective, and inspiring.
Creativity is central to my teaching approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore various musical genres, fostering originality, artistic confidence, and self-expression. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, creating a smooth, productive, and rewarding learning experience.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This integrated methodology strengthens technical proficiency, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My goal is to nurture confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
